    Ken R Knopp routinely makes historical and patriotic presentations before such groups as Civil War Roundtables,  Historical Societies, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), Sons of Union Veterans (SUV), Daughters of the America Revolution(DAR), Veterans Associations, and Civic Groups.

Topics vary from inspiring patriotic themes to various cavalry presentations, Civil War battles and Confederate personalities, the Confederate Ordnance Dept, the Spanish Moss industry and of course saddlery. Many include artifact presentations.Fees are minimal including travel expenses and a small honorarium.

Ever want to know the identity and value of your old saddle?

As a recognized saddle historian contact me to research, identify and authenticate your saddle to:

  • Identity, pattern or make of your saddle
  • Country or regional location of origin (where possible)
  • Approximate time period
  • Approximate current market value

Each saddle will be researched, substantiated and appraised with a descriptive and official “Letter of Authenticity”.

Send me by email or snail mail the following clear photographic views:

  • Two overall photos of the entire saddle. Left side and right side
  • Individual, clear photos of all hardware including stirrup strap hanger, stirrup strap buckles, rivets, escutcheon plates, decorative hardware, etc.
  • Front view
  • Rear view
  • Underside
  • Underside view of the tree as much as possible.
  • Photo and description of any maker’s markings, stamps, numbers, etc.
  • And….any documentation on this artifact

COST: $50 Per saddle. Payment due with order.

GUARANTEE: If I cannot reasonably I.D. your saddle I will return your money for a full refund and an explanation.
